Transfer Orders

InventoryUpdated September 11, 2026 · Reviewed by Peasy Team

This guide walks through moving inventory between locations, from choosing a source and destination to receiving the completed transfer order. Each step has a Show me button that points to the matching control in Peasy.

You need at least two active locations to stage a transfer. With only one active location, the Source and Destination selectors are hidden because there is no valid location pair. The first four steps are on the Transfer page; the last step is on the Transfer Orders page.

How to Get There

Open Inventory > Transfer to begin.

Open the Transfer page

The tour

1. Choose the source and destination

Select the Source where the inventory is leaving and the Destination where it is going.

2. Find an item

Search for the item you want to move, hover over its name, and click Transfer.

3. Enter the quantity

The table shows Source Inventory immediately before Destination Inventory. Enter an amount in Transfer Qty, or use the item panel to enter quantities from one or more source locations. Peasy saves the amount as a pending transfer.

4. Submit the transfer

Click Submit & view order to create and review the transfer order.

5. Review and receive the order

Use the table's Status column to update the full order. To receive one item instead, open the order and use the item's status badge in the right-hand panel. A Created order shows pending movement at both locations. Sent deducts actual inventory from the source while the destination remains pending. Received adds actual inventory at the destination; moving directly from Created to Received completes both sides.

Good to Know

  • Peasy groups submitted transfers by source and destination.
  • You can receive a whole order from the table or individual items from the detail panel.
  • The guide remains available on both the Transfer and Transfer Orders pages.
