Home Dashboard

The Home page is your daily starting point in Peasy. It gives you a quick overview of what needs attention and a place to ask Peasy a question.

What You'll See

Greeting and Ask Anything

At the top, you'll see a personalized greeting and an Ask anything box. Leave New chat selected to start a conversation, or open that menu and choose a recent conversation to continue it. Type a question and press Enter to send it to Beacon. Use Shift+Enter when you want another line instead.

Clicking the send arrow with an empty question focuses the box so you can start typing.

Starting a new conversation opens Beacon across the Home content area while keeping Peasy's navigation available. In the chat header, use Move to side panel to keep chatting alongside another page. When Beacon is in the side panel, use Open full page to return the conversation to Home. The back arrow in the full-page chat returns you to the Home dashboard.

This Home box is different from Cmd/Ctrl+K: the keyboard shortcut opens the search-and-command palette, while the Home box sends the question straight to Beacon.

Unfinished Demo Setup

If you chose to start with a demo but the sample data hasn't been added yet, Finish setting up your demo appears below the question box. Choose Try again to open demo setup, or Dismiss to hide the reminder.

Dismiss is saved for your company, so the reminder stays hidden when you return. It does not add or remove any data.

Getting Started or Journey

Depending on where your company is in setup, Home may show a Getting Started checklist or a Journey card. To hide it, hover over the card and click its X; to bring it back, turn it on again in Manage Cards. Hiding it changes only your own home page.

Tutorials

If Tutorials appears, choose Recommended, Completed, or Explore to browse learning suggestions. Choose Start tutorial, Continue tutorial, or Complete again to open a tutorial in Beacon's side panel.

See all opens the full Tutorial Library on the same category, with search across all tutorials. Dismiss temporarily hides a recommendation for you. The card is available only for some companies and stays hidden while demo data is present.

Cards

Below the question box, Home shows your business at a glance in cards, each counting one kind of work, such as To-dos due, Inbox, Orders to receive, or Items to buy. Choose a card's title, or its number, to open the page with the full list.

You can arrange Home your way. Your layout is saved for you in this company, so teammates keep their own.

  • Move a card: on a wider screen, drag an open part of the card header. The title and header buttons keep their usual actions, so start the drag away from them.
  • Resize a card: drag the left or right edge to change its width, or drag the bottom edge or bottom-right corner to change its height.
  • Use the keyboard: press Tab to reach a card's Move or resize button, then use the arrow keys to move the card, or Shift with the arrow keys to resize it.
  • Change how a card shows its work: use the view button in the card header to switch to the next available view: a list, a single number, or (on some cards) a chart.
  • Hide a card: choose the X on the card. Undo brings it back right away.
  • Add, remove, or reset cards: choose Manage Cards, search or browse the cards, and turn each one on or off. Reset to defaults returns Home to its starting cards and layout.

On a narrow screen, the cards stack in reading order and arrangement controls are unavailable. The cards you can add depend on which parts of Peasy your company uses.

First-Time Experience

After you finish sign-up, Beacon opens with a welcome message over Home. Home stays dimmed until you choose a first step or close Beacon. Then the Getting Started or Journey card guides your next setup steps. See Getting Started Checklist.

Good to Know

  • Home's question box sends directly to Beacon and can reopen a recent conversation; press Cmd/Ctrl+K when you want to search records, navigate, or run an action instead.
  • On a phone, Home's Ask anything box sends a direct AI question. The top-right ? button remains available on Home and other pages for Peasy Support, conversation history, and calls.
  • Cards refresh from current Peasy data. Open a card's page when you need the full list or more detail.
