Staging

Staging is the review step between importing raw data and creating records in Peasy. In Peasy, all imports — whether from CSV, Shopify, or other sources — pass through staging so you can review, correct, and approve data before it enters your system.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Imported data lands in the staging area automatically after upload or sync
  • Each staged record shows the imported data alongside Peasy's suggested matches
  • Review records individually or in bulk — approve, edit, skip, or reject
  • Peasy suggests matching vendors, items, and customers using fuzzy matching
  • Approved records are created or linked in Peasy; rejected records are discarded
  • Staging groups organize records by import source and batch

Why It Matters

Staging prevents bad data from contaminating your system. It gives you a chance to catch duplicates, fix errors, and verify matches before they become permanent records. This is especially important during initial setup when you're importing large datasets.
