Import

An import is the process of bringing data into Peasy from an external source — typically a CSV file, spreadsheet, or connected platform like Shopify. In Peasy, imports use a staging-and-review flow to ensure data quality before it enters your system.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Start an import from Configure > Import or from the relevant section (Items, Vendors, Customers)
  • Upload a CSV/spreadsheet or connect an external source
  • Imported data lands in a staging area where you review and map it
  • Peasy suggests matches to existing items, vendors, or customers
  • Approve the staged data to create or update records in Peasy
  • Import history tracks all past imports and their results

Why It Matters

Imports let you get up and running quickly by bringing in existing data rather than entering everything manually. The staging step prevents bad data from entering your system — you review everything before it's committed.
