Lot
A lot is a specific batch of an item identified by a lot number. In Peasy, lots let you track exactly which batch of product you received and where it went.
How It Works in Peasy
- Assign lot numbers when receiving purchase orders or making inventory adjustments
- Each lot tracks its own quantity and receiving details
- Lots are location-specific — the same lot number at two locations is tracked separately
- When fulfilling sales orders, you can pick which lot to draw from
- Lot history is visible in the item's inventory history
Why It Matters
Lot tracking is essential for food safety, recalls, and quality control. If a problem arises with a specific batch, you can trace exactly where that lot went and who received it.
