Recipe

A recipe (also called a bill of materials or BOM) is the list of ingredients and their quantities needed to produce one batch of a finished product. In Peasy, recipes are stored as production templates and used to generate work orders.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Recipes are defined within production templates
  • Each recipe lists ingredient items and the quantity needed per batch
  • When you create a work order from a template, the recipe scales based on the production quantity
  • Recipes can include sub-recipes if a finished product uses another manufactured item as an ingredient
  • Changing a recipe on the template affects future work orders but not existing ones

Why It Matters

Recipes are the blueprint for production. They ensure consistency — every batch uses the same ingredients in the same proportions — and they let Peasy calculate how much raw material you need for any production run.
