Partial Receive

A partial receive occurs when you receive only some of the items on a purchase order. In Peasy, partial receives let you record what actually arrived while keeping the PO open for the remaining items.

How It Works in Peasy

  • When receiving a PO, enter the actual quantities received — they can be less than ordered
  • The PO status changes to Partially Received to indicate outstanding items remain
  • A bill is created for only the quantities received
  • You can receive against the same PO multiple times as more shipments arrive
  • The PO shows received vs. ordered quantities so you can track what's still outstanding

Why It Matters

Vendors don't always ship everything at once. Partial receives let you update inventory with what's on hand without closing out an order that still has items in transit. This keeps your stock levels accurate and your receiving history complete.
