Yield

Yield is the quantity of finished product produced from one batch of a recipe. In Peasy, yield is defined on the production template and determines how many units of the output item a single production run creates.

How It Works in Peasy

  • Set the yield on the production template (e.g., "1 batch makes 100 units")
  • When creating a work order, specify how many batches or total units you want to produce
  • Ingredient quantities scale based on the yield — double the batches, double the ingredients
  • Actual yield can be recorded during production if it differs from the expected yield
  • Yield variance helps identify production efficiency issues over time

Why It Matters

Yield connects your recipe to your inventory. It tells Peasy how much finished product to add to inventory when a work order is completed, and it determines how much of each ingredient is needed for any given production quantity.
