Entity

An entity is a business or organization in Peasy. In Peasy, each entity has its own items, vendors, customers, locations, orders, and settings — it's the top-level container for all your business data.

How It Works in Peasy

  • When you create your Peasy account, you create your first entity
  • Each entity has its own inventory, purchasing, selling, and payment configuration
  • Team members are invited to a specific entity and can have different roles
  • A user can belong to multiple entities (useful for businesses with separate brands or divisions)
  • All data — items, orders, invoices — is scoped to the entity level

Why It Matters

The entity is the boundary of your business in Peasy. Everything you do — from buying to selling to production — happens within an entity. Understanding this helps when managing team access, integrations, and multi-business setups.
